Press Releases: April 30, 2002
My Dear Fans,
I know, I know, you don't have to fuss at me. I have sorely neglected you. Well, better late than never. Let me update you on what's been happening in the world of Jymalot Music.
I've been involved in promoting and marketing the No Shame CD. Sales numbers are, well, let's just say the numbers are not high. Not high at all. Kinda low, in fact. Really low. Near zero. Actually, right at zero. Yep, zero sales.
But I have given away quite a few copies for free. One person said they listened to one song. They said, "Is that really you?" That's about the extent of the feedback. I don't talk to that person anymore.
I did try to talk to Nik Kershaw, though. Remember him? He did that "Wouldn't It Be Good?" song back in the early 80s. He has a website (www.nikkershaw.net) and you can email him and chat and stuff. Well, I emailed him, and he didn't email me back. I waited, emailed him again. Waited some more. Silence. Cricket sounds...... Never heard back from him. So, screw Nik Kershaw anyway.
Still, I bought his autograph off eBay. (Yeah, and it was CHEAP, Nik!)
Which reminds me, I have given out some autographed CDs to a few fans. I know for a fact the signed CDs are framed and hanging on the wall. Impressive, huh?!?
I had shoulder and hand surgery awhile back and haven't been able to play the guitar, so I haven't been very productive in terms of performing live or writing anything new. Still living off the spoils of No Shame.
But I do have a couple of new songs in my head. All I need now is some words, a tune, talent, a singing voice, a demo, a publisher, a marketer, a record deal, luck and a few intangibles, and there ya go... another hit. Right around the corner.
We are updating the website right now, so you might see a few new things... pictures and some tunes not previously posted. So take a look/listen.
By the way, my business manager fired Van, the Fan Club president. He sent Van out to get Vanilla Ice's autograph when Vanilla Ice was in town, but Van didn't go. So Van's out. That's the word I get. Hey, life is change, right? Bye, Van.
All I can say is I hope you guys are enjoying yourselves out there. I am. The world is so cool.
