The Word Is

Released late in the year, 2009, The Word Is becomes the 17th release by Jymalot Music. This CD includes ten original songs by Jym and one cover of an old blues standard with guest vocalist Patsy. Fan favorites seem to be the title track, a catchy tune full of paranoia, then the philosophical but mysterious, “Tyme,” and the downright creepy, “Inside My Brain.” All the songs feature Jym at his acoustic best, with some strong lead vocals and clean harmony. Excepting the romance of “Heart To Heart,” this CD is, lyrically, somber. “I am still presenting these darker emotions in my work,” said Jym, “and I don’t know why. Perhaps that just naturally fits with the minor chord progressions I find myself playing. Or maybe I just need to get silly.”
Uhh, you’re already there, Jym.
So, if you want this CD, just contact us here at the website and we‘ll make sure to send you one or more, or, if you bump into Jym, after he says, “Excuse me,” ask him for one. He carries them around with him. Really. Told you he was silly.
Special Note: There are two unannounced releases available, too. First, there is “No Bad Words,” a collection of 18 previously released Jymalot Music songs, made especially for Jym’s senior fans, his very young fans, his overtly religious fans, and all the other fans who just don’t like it when Jym uses naughty words….hence, the title. Second, there is “In So Many Words,” a collection of 18 previous releases, plus one new tune. These songs may include language for which Jym needs to be spanked. “Please spank me,” said Jym.
